Meet John

Honest, Humble and Hardworking

You deserve a Mayor who is a true long term local.

John Freeman has been living in Logan for 45 years. He has raised his family here, run businesses in the community and has been the president of the Logan Chamber of Commerce, president of school P&C and president of community action groups, always advocating change for the better.

John was also Chairman the Southern Region Organisation of Councils and a Regional Coordination Committee member advising the State Government on regional planning.

In 2000, the community of Logan City voted John in as Mayor, and after his first term came to an end, they voted him back in again in 2004.

You don’t get voted back in as Mayor unless you’re doing something right!

As Mayor, John was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for Distinguished service to Local Government.
